Starr Morris – Full Spectrum Doula

“There are only four kinds of people in the world: Those who have been caregivers. Those who are currently caregivers. Those who will be caregivers, and those who will need a caregiver.”

– Rosalyn Carter

Why did I become a full-spectrum doula?

Throughout my life, I have always been drawn to caretaking. I began babysitting early on, eventually getting my first summer job at 14 as an assistant daycare teacher in the baby room. I’ve been surrounded by babies and children since I can remember, and was always *so* excited to play, nurture, and care for them. During college, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant at my local hospital. I helped patients in various stages of health from recovering from surgery, to welcoming a baby into the world, and for some, saying a final goodbye.

In August of 2025 I welcomed twin baby boys. My pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was beautiful, but it was not without its challenges. I know it would have been so much more challenging had I not had my people to hold me up the whole way.

That’s why I created Serene Clarity Doula Care. Sometimes it feels too new, too confusing, and just too damn heavy to carry yourself. I want to provide the gift of serene clarity in the moments of confusing chaos.
